We live on

We've survived our first night by camping out in a cracker barrel. Classy, i know. Our first trial confronted us upon discovering the thing that supplies power to the electric kettle that cooks all of our food does not work, but this was solved by cooking cup noodles in a rest stop with a side of strange looks. We walked around a park, and Emie had a lot of fun with that because there were no bugs anywhere (sarcasm). We are now in Richmond trying to resolve our electronic problems. -J

So much oatmeal

Just bought a month's worth of oatmeal. Time to start liking oatmeal. -J

Here goes nothing

Well, the car's all packed, and we're about to finish up some errands and say goodbye to everyone. Hopefully, we'll hit the road to Maine around 2 or 3 today. In the mean time, Here's the first vlog!

An Introduction

So, let's say you and your boyfriend graduated in June, you conveniently have a minivan at your disposal, and despite some extremely worried parents, have decided to load yourselves in for 10 months to see what happens.

Check. Now what?

Well, that's what this blog is for, I suppose. This, and the youtube channel we'll link to, and the facebook posts, and the pictures; the whole nine yards. It's all a way of helping soothe our friends and families worries, and to provide an ongoing record for us to look back on.

So, here it is, for those who might not already know: my boyfriend (Jackson), and I (Emie) will be spending the next 9-10 months living out of a slightly modified minivan named Bubbles, with very little money, a little bit more terror, and hopefully a large deal of optimism.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when we leave on Tuesday.
